Today I was informed by Onondaga Parks that, due to the Coronavirus situation, the Highland 1-2-3 cannot be held as scheduled. Therefore, the race is cancelled. I want to thank everyone that signed up early and also let them know that refunds have been processed and that you should see the refund within a week on your credit card statement. Please let me know if there are any issues. I hope that you and your family remain healthy. The parks are open- just not for groups, so I know I will be out on the trails whenever I can and hopefully you will be able to do this as well. Thanks! Hope to see you at the Highland 1-2-3 next year.

Join us and experience running in one of Onondaga County’s natural areas.

This is a timed race over a 10 mile course that may be repeated one, two or three times. Each loop consists of 1380 feet total climb. This is not a road race, but a trail run in which you will encounter nature, some welcomed and some not.

It is possible to sprain ankles, break bones, get stung by insects, and otherwise get injured. The path is marked with blazes, but you may still become lost momentarily. If this happens, go back! Minimal official support is offered on the course so carrying a hydration pack or a bottle is highly recommended. Resupply will be possible at the Start/Finish area for successive loops.

Food and refreshments will be provided after the race.

2020 Prices:

  • Until 4/30 – $20
  • 5/1-5/27 – $30
  • Day of Race – $40

Participants are encouraged(and pricing reflects this) to pre-regsiter so that we can determine the amount of food to provide. Registration is available through RunSignUp at the following link: Run Signup

Highland Forest is located about 3 miles east of Fabius, NY on Route 80.

The race starts and finishes at the Community Shelter just across the road from the parking lot.
